Annual Russian-Speaking Community Partners Capitol Reception
The Annual Russian-Speaking Community Capitol Reception is a milestone that shows the progressing relationship between the Slavic community and members of the legislature. Each year, we strive to break away from old stereotypes that hinder Slavic Californians from actively engaging in civic activities within their communities. The reception helps to reassure our people that California policymakers do not relate to our local Russian-speaking community solely through politics. It took us years to break the stereotypes that Slavic people held about their government, and now we aim to preserve this fragile trust and encourage more civic engagement.

“Dear Sergey, The entire “Lodi Delegation” truly enjoyed the 5th Annual Russian-Speaking Capitol Event. RAM really knows how to throw a party! Please let Mr. Yeghia Alajajian know that we especially enjoyed Pacific Coast Food’s fabulous cuisine, along with his friendly and engaging staff. They made a generous effort to help us understand each and every delicious dish that was being offered. We look forward to next year’s event, but will be unable to wait that long. We therefore look forward to revisiting their store on Greenback in the very near future, and will be encouraging our Russian-speaking and non-Russian speaking friends alike to do the same. Spasibo.”
